Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
The Prairielands Collection is from an on-going series of images created by artist, James Huntley. This series of water-based media paintings is of the prairielands of the United States. Many of these images are created on-site while traveling the expansive landscape.
James Huntley is an artist that specializes in a variety of media, including traditional and digital. Working with mixed media, he has travelled the world and the US. His work is influenced by the places he has seen and people he has met along the way. A sense of longing (strongly referencing the Portugese idea of "fado") dominates the expression that comes through the work. "Journeys can be a seductive process. A travel experience can quickly become an old friend that always beckons for more. A short road trip or a flight across oceans can encourage experimentation.
