This bright abstract painting was created using Adirondack Alcohol Inks on yupo paper. If you are not familiar with alcohol inks they are wonderful and fun to paint with. They come in a variety of colors in small bottles with droppers. The yupo paper is non-porous so the ink flows freely across the surface allowing quite a bit of manipulation before the ink dries. This painting was created by dropping ink on to the yupo paper and then blowing on the wet ink through a straw to create the blossoming effect. Colors used include: wild plum, cranberry, watermelon and butterscotch.
